Commonly asked questions

-   "Why is it important what social media, TV, and/or music I watch and listen to?"
      SHORT ANSWER: Our thoughts lead to words, words lead to actions, actions lead
      to habits, habits lead to character, and our character determines our destiny. It all
      starts with our thoughts because ideas have consequences.    Here's a better
      answer.

- "Is drinking alcohol sinful?"
    SHORT ANSWER: No. God's commandments, (if we follow them), will protect us
    from extreme misuses and abuses of the pleasures that He has created. Under-age
    drinking and drunkenness is sinful and needs to be avoided. Chris Stephanick
    answers that question in a few minutes with more clarity: HERE.
- "Now that it's legal, can I and should I smoke it?"
     Great question, here's a SHORT ANSWER: Avoid marijuana use like you would avoid
     a plague. Why? God wants us to be fully alive and to encounter His presence in our
     lives. We encounter Him and please Him when we are sober and experience the
     natural consciousness that He intends for us to have. HERE'S some more food for
     thought.

- "Will Heaven be BORING? The thought of clouds and harps don't excite me."
        SHORT ANSWER: NOPE! Being in the presence of God, the beatific vision, and
        the New Jerusalem will be INCREDIBLY exciting!   Boredom is a form of suffering
        and we are told that there will be no suffering in heaven. At Mass, Heaven and
        Earth, time and eternity unite in a way that our eyes and ears can not fathom. St.
        John Vianney said that if we could understand the true value of the Mass (if we
        could see what our guardia angels see), we would DIE of JOY!!

- "So.....many folks are 'getting ink'.....what about tatoos?"
       SHORT ANSWER: One must answer the question, would this permanent design on
       my body glorify God or glorify me? The path to holiness involves self-
       forgetfullness....whereby we worship the true trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit)
       and not the false/counterfeit trinity of me, myself, and I. Before you get something
       that will last a lifetime, consider these helpful reflections.
